So here it goes, a list of things I’ve realized (in case the title didn’t provide that clue)….this is of course tentative:

  •  Being happy is not a sin, nor is it selfish. Take the pleasure of being happy, which leads on to the next thing.
  • The small things are truly the  best things in life.  That one tiny part of a song which you love. That faint scent of your favorite cologne/perfume…
  • People will try to keep you from being happy, because deep down that’s what makes them happy. Being superior to others is unfortunately very important to some…in fact it’s important to all of us. This is acceptable in the sense that it promotes competition (which makes both people work harder) or it creates a situation in which “may the best man win”…while that’s all fine and dandy, 15 years from now, that small victory will be rather worthless.
  • People are idiots. People BS. People lie. People cheat. People steal. People who fall for these peoples’ antics are indeed idiots.
  • We are capable of so much more. If only we knew our abilities, we wouldn’t focus so much on our limits.
  • to be continued in the future….

Long time no update, I kind of messed up on that….heh sorry. I know you guys missed the show, everyone wants to read about my wonderful life :)

During the past weeks, I’ve been busy with college. My courses are Accounting, Spanish, English, and Math…I would love to give you course numbers and full descriptions of them, but seeing as how this world has prospered on the “stalking tools” that are Facebook, I will pass on such details.

I have made a decision in my life, actually last night, and I will create a brand new post just for that purpose…trust me it won’t be another 3 weeks before an update this time. But hey I figure, I’ll leave a little room for suspense.

Anyhow, I’m off to the women’s basketball game UNC vs. Maryland, so know that if you are watching on ESPN, you might get a glimpse of me and not even know it. Aaahhh…the life of a celebrity! :D

Happy New Year!

Well here we are, off to another year! I have already mentioned my resolutions…and I am sure most of you are tired of hearing about losing weight and quitting smoking. Those things are good to achieve, but we must remember what the new year truly brings us.

2008 marks the beginning of a new beginning. We have a chance to change. We have the opportunity to seize opportunities. And we have the hope for a brighter future for the world. So go ahead and lose weight. Go ahead and quit smoking. But in it all, don’t forget what matters. Don’t forget the small things. Cherish the time with family and friends. Love them. Love yourself. Sit down and think. Listen to music. Read a poem. Write a poem. Let your voice be heard. Listen to others. Change your attitude. Change your stereotypes. Change your negatives. Change whatever necessary.

Change for the better.

I wish you all and your families a Happy New Year!

Today is December 31st, and shortly we will enter the year of 2008. Now I would love to sit here and type out everything that happened to me this year, but in reality only a few matter:

1) I graduated from high school. -This marked the end of nonsense, and the beginning of true education and learning.

2) I visited India. -Visiting India this summer was an AMAZING EXPERIENCE! I met my grandparents who still live there and I realized how much I love them. I realized how much they have accomplished. I realized how beautiful my country is. But in the end what matters is I realized who I am.

3) I started college at UNC. -I began my first year of college at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. And I am loving it.

4) I lent my ears. -I became a better listener. This is quite an accomplishment for an 18-year-old male.

5) I started thinking. -This year I began thinking about things…and about life. Wow.

…so those are just a few things I felt worth mentioniong.

Now, these are the things I need to work on. So without further ado, my New Year’s Resolutions:

1) Become myself again. -Realize who I was, who I am, and who I want to be.

2) Be nice. -Stop being judgemental, and be a better person.

3) Thank. -Be gracious for wonderful family and friends.

4) Focus on education. -Be a better student, stop procrastinating, and read more.

5) Learn to play the guitar. -I’ve had it for 3 years…it’s about time to start learning to play.

Hey, I am trying to figure out how to work this thing. I think I will start by copying WordPress’s automatic post, and announce myself to the world.
